What people come to us with

You brought a car from another EU country

We handle import and registration: import tax, ITV, ficha técnica and plates. We calculate the amount in advance so it is not a surprise.

You have just moved and are bringing your own car

New residents have an import regime with its own conditions and deadlines. We check whether you qualify and prepare the file.

Your driving licence is from outside the EU

We handle the exchange (canje) with the medical check and appointment. We check whether an exchange agreement covers your country.

You are buying a used car and worry about hidden problems

We check history and mechanical condition, look for debts and fines on the vehicle, and handle the sale and transfer of ownership.

You are renting a car long term

We read the contract and the excess terms before you sign, and assist if there is a claim.

FAQ

How much does it cost to import a car?

It depends on the country of origin, the car's age and engine size, and you may qualify for the new resident exemption. Send us the car's details and we will calculate the full cost down to the euro.

Will my driving license be accepted in Spain?

Licenses from many countries can be exchanged (canje) without exams - Ukrainian ones, for example. The full exchange costs 350 € including the medical check; tell us your country and we will confirm.

Can you just find me a car?

Yes: sourcing, history and technical condition checks, price negotiation and ownership transfer. You get a car with clean paperwork and a clear cost of ownership.

What does registering a car cost?

The total combines registration tax, DGT fees, the ITV and our work. The tax depends on emissions and the value of the vehicle. We put it all in figures before we start.

Do I have to change foreign plates?

If you live in Spain permanently, the vehicle must be registered here within the set period. We look at your situation and give you the deadline so no penalty accrues.

Can I drive on my existing licence?

It depends on the issuing country and your residency status. Some countries have an exchange agreement, others require taking the test. We check your case before the permitted period runs out.

Do you source the car as well?

Yes: we find one to suit your budget and needs, check its history and condition, and handle the negotiation and purchase. We also take on sales.

Do I need to be present for the paperwork?

As a rule no: registration, ITV and transfer of ownership are handled under a power of attorney. We tell you in advance if your particular procedure requires you there.
